A 25-year-old man from Tshabalala suburb in Bulawayo has appeared in court for allegedly orchestrating a robbery that netted his accomplices nearly US$20,000 and over R140,000 belonging to their employer. Given Shoko faced robbery charges before Western Commonage magistrate Jeconia Prince Ncube and was released on US$200 bail, with his trial set for March 24.

According to prosecutor Tafara Dzimbanhete, Shoko allegedly conspired with two accomplices, Anesu Magombedze and Alfred Magombedze, who are still at large, to steal from Kwazulu Logistics. The complainant, Lizwe Dube, had arrived in Bulawayo from Gwanda with the cash when Shoko allegedly helped him, then drove him to a secluded area where the accomplices attacked and stole the money.
