A heated confrontation unfolded in Harare's central business district at 4am yesterday, involving an inDrive driver and a sex worker. The dispute began when the driver allegedly refused to pay the woman US$100 for services rendered, citing she was missing his car keys.


According to eyewitnesses, the driver, who had picked up the woman in the city's west, stopped near the intersection of Robert Mugabe and Julius Nyerere streets. An argument ensued, attracting a crowd.

"I was driving home when I saw people gathering," said a witness. "The woman was shouting, claiming he owed her money, and the driver was refusing to pay."

Police arrived, and the woman was taken into custody after refusing to leave the vehicle. The driver was allowed to leave after providing a statement
