Wicknell Chivayo, a Zimbabwean millionaire, has responded to a cartoon published by ZimDaily mocking the state of his rural home. He said people expect everything around him to look "thick", including chickens, simply because he's wealthy. In a social media post, Chivayo joked that when someone has money, people assume everything around them must look healthy and lavish, including animals.
Chivayo explained that he's preserving his family's heritage and memories by not modernizing his rural home, which was built in 1962 by his grandfather. He emphasized that the structures hold deep sentimental value and are like a museum to him. He also highlighted investments he's made at the property, including a $280,000 concrete fence and $120,000 in farming equipment for his brothers.
