Zimbabwean footballer Divine Lunga has won the Man of the Match award after delivering a commanding performance for Mamelodi Sundowns in their 2-0 Betway Premiership victory over Sekhukhune United. The Zimbabwe international earned the individual honor despite not scoring, with his all-round display at the back drawing praise from fans both in South Africa and back home.

Mamelodi Sundowns had to wait until stoppage time to break the deadlock, with Nuno Santos opening the scoring in the 91st minute before Brayn Leon added a second three minutes later to seal the win. While the goals arrived late, Lunga's influence was evident throughout the match as he marshaled the defense and kept Sekhukhune at bay.

Divine Lunga's Man of the Match performance came just days after Mamelodi Sundowns extended his contract, keeping him at the club until 2028. Tuesday's award further justified the club's faith in him.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwean football fans praised Divine Lunga and hailed his composed and influential performance. The Warriors defender was described as a top-class player whose consistency continues to shine at Mamelodi Sundowns. Other fans congratulated him on the individual honor and expressed optimism about his future contributions, both at club level and ahead of the next international cycle
