Iran's new leader has warned US President Donald Trump that the time for negotiations is over, following the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in US-Israeli airstrikes. Nigerian cleric Elijah Babatunde Ayodele predicts the conflict won't result in a victory for either side, emphasizing that global powers are miscalculating the crisis.

Trump has expressed willingness to engage in dialogue with Iran's remaining leadership, but Iran's intelligence arm has reached out to the CIA with an offer to discuss terms for ending the conflict. The US expects any agreement to include Iran abandoning or scaling back its ballistic missile and nuclear programs, as well as support for foreign proxy groups.

The conflict has escalated, with reports of significant military losses and civilian casualties. Iran has launched counter-strikes on US and Israeli assets and oil prices have soared.
