Warriors forward Tawanda Maswanhise was on the scoresheet as Motherwell continued their fine run of form with a comfortable 2-0 home win over St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

The result keeps the Fir Park side fourth in the table, just two points behind Celtic and Rangers, who sit second and third respectively. Maswanhise returned to the starting lineup after the Africa Cup of Nations and opened the scoring ten minutes before half-time. Elijah Just slipped a neat through ball into his path, sending Maswanhise clear, and he finished calmly through the legs of goalkeeper Shamal George. Motherwell sealed the win in the 57th minute when Maswanhise’s shot was blocked, but the ball fell kindly to Elliot Watt, who rifled it into the top corner to put the game beyond St Mirren.  Follow & Share Our WhatsApp Channel
