Mwenezi Man Dies at Girlfriend's House

A 38-year-old man from Mwenezi died at his girlfriend's house after complaining of chest and stomach pains, police have confirmed.

Calvin Tarugarira, from Chief Neshuro area in Mwenezi, passed away on 7 March at the home of his 48-year-old girlfriend in Chitanga.

According to a police report, Tarugarira left his home on 3 March at around 2 PM, telling his wife he was going to look for work in Rutenga. Instead, he proceeded to his girlfriend's residence in Chitanga on the same day.

On 6 March at around 7 AM, the deceased complained of chest and stomach pains after drinking mapfura beer with his girlfriend. His condition deteriorated the following day, and he was unable to travel back home.

On 7 March at around 9 PM, Tarugarira allegedly began groaning in pain and later died at his girlfriend's house.

Masvingo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhehwa, confirmed the incident. The body was transported to Neshuro for a post-mortem examination.
