Colonel Kenson Carlos Dube has assumed command of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) 3 Infantry Brigade in Mutare, succeeding Brigadier General Ernest Shamu. The handover ceremony was held today at Herbert Chitepo Barracks and was presided over by ZNA Commander Lieutenant General Asher Tapfumanei.
The ceremony officially marked the transfer of command from Brigadier General Shamu to Colonel Dube. Military officers and soldiers attended the event, during which the symbolic handover was conducted.
Brigadier General Shamu is set to take over command of the 1 Infantry Brigade in Bulawayo as part of the latest leadership changes within the army.
