The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco was a tournament that will be etched in the memories of fans for years to come.

From underdog triumphs to controversy-filled matches, the 34th edition of the continental showpiece had it all.

Senegal emerged victorious, defeating hosts Morocco 1-0 in a chaotic final that will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. The match was marred by controversy, with Senegal's players walking off the pitch in protest after Morocco was awarded a stoppage-time penalty.

Despite the drama, the tournament showcased the growing talent and potential of African football. Comoros, debutants in the tournament, reached the Round of 16, while The Gambia made it to the quarterfinals for the first time.

Sadio Mane was named Player of the Tournament, while Brahim Díaz finished as top scorer with 5 goals.

The tournament also saw its fair share of off-pitch drama, including the ban of Cameroon Football Federation President Samuel Eto’o for four matches over misconduct.

As the dust settles on AFCON 2025, one thing is clear  African football is in good hands and the drama never stops.

That enemy who became a friend  cause we bonded over a match, the bars and hangouts that allowed us to watch the matches without even buying from them.

Wives for letting their husbands stay out late as the game went on. Social media updates throughout the tournament. The conversations in the bus bonding, deliberating and debating over AFCON.

We cannot mention all of you but we appreciate everything you did to make this game a beauty.

Thank you to all and its a wrap!
