Zimbabwe is setting its sights on a record-breaking tobacco harvest, targeting 400 million kilograms of the crop in the 2026 season. The Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board attributes this ambitious goal to rising grower participation, expanded hectarage, and improved quality control measures.

Last year's harvest already set a new benchmark, and the industry is optimistic about further growth. The golden leaf sector is expected to reach new heights, driven by increased investment and efforts to enhance production standards.
