Highlanders have confirmed the departure of midfielder Shepherd Mhlanga, who has returned to parent club FC Platinum after his loan spell was cut short.
The midfielder joined Bosso on a season-long loan from FC Platinum ahead of the 2026 campaign but has now been recalled by the platinum miners.
In an official statement, the Bulawayo giants confirmed the exit and expressed appreciation for Mhlanga's service during his time at the club.
"Highlanders Football Club can confirm the departure of midfielder Shepherd Mhlanga who joined us at the beginning of the 2026 season on loan from FC Platinum," read the statement.
"We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Shepherd for his professionalism, hard work, and dedication during his time with our club. His contribution to the men's first team squad was highly valued, and we wish him the absolute best in his future football endeavors."
Mhlanga's return to FC Platinum makes him the latest player to exit Bosso during the current mid-season transfer window.
His departure follows closely on the heels of left-back Archford Faira, who completed a loan move to Herentals College FC for the remainder of the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season just days ago.
The flurry of departures signals Highlanders' intent to reshape their squad as they look to strengthen their campaign for the remainder of the season under the stewardship of their technical team.
