HARARE – The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority has reduced fuel prices, setting diesel at US$1.99 per litre and petrol blend E20 at US$1.98 per litre, effective 19 June 2026.

In a public notice dated 19 June 2026, ZERA said the new prices will apply for two weeks. The regulator attributed the adjustment to shifts in international oil prices, exchange rates and taxes, and said the review forms part of government interventions to cushion consumers from global geopolitical developments.  Follow us on WhatsApp

According to ZERA, Diesel 50 will cost ZWG53.26 per litre and blend E20 will cost ZWG53.00 per litre. In US dollar terms, diesel 50 is pegged at US$1.99 per litre and blend E20 at US$1.98 per litre. The blending ratio remains at E20.

ZERA said fuel operators may sell below the prescribed prices depending on trading advantages, but must display prices prominently as required by fuel pricing regulations.

The authority urged the public and operators to verify future price releases on ZERA’s official website, Facebook page, or X handle @zeraenergy to avoid misinformation.

ZERA reviews fuel prices every fortnight. The reduction comes as relief for transport operators and motorists facing cost-of-living pressures.

For enquiries, ZERA listed its Harare head office and regional offices in Bulawayo, Mutare and Gweru
