Former Zimbabwe Warriors defender Onismor Bhasera has left South African Betway Premiership club Siwelele FC following the expiry of his contract, FarPost reports.

Bhasera will not be included in the club’s pre-season preparations for the 2026/27 campaign as Siwelele FC continues to restructure its technical department after its debut season in the top flight.

The ex-Zimbabwe international joined the Bloemfontein-based side last year after retiring from professional football at the end of the 2025/26 season. He moved directly into coaching, having started working toward his coaching badges during the final years of his playing career at SuperSport United.

His exit comes as head coach Lehlohonolo Seema reshapes his backroom staff ahead of the new season. Siwelele have already brought in Mario Masha as second assistant coach, while experienced analyst Musi Matlaba has been appointed technical consultant focusing on scouting and player recruitment.

Bhasera’s next move is not yet confirmed. Reports in South Africa have linked the former left-back with a possible return to Zimbabwean football in a coaching role.

Siwelele FC is yet to release an official statement on Bhasera’s departure.
